4-404 Gathering Images
Wow! Thanks to Ms.Moran for all the great ideas for parent involvement. Also kudos for finding images to use as primary sources for EVERY one of the students in 404. I've linked the New York State Archives Image Search to the wiki and I've created a sample page showing how a link to an image can be put into a wiki page. Today we'll try to get half the class to find and link and image from the archive onto their page, and to explain the image briefly, using the information from the archive.
I think we are getting back on track. I see lots of students have posted something to their pages. I look forward to what everyone has to show me on Friday.
ReplyDeleteYes. More than half of the children found and linked images from the Archives. This also has given them new subtopics to investigate. The wiki is becoming a tool for discovery...and I forsee pages being so large that they'll split into two or three.
