Class 4-404: Non digital project ideas

I have some thoughts on non-digital projects outside of the wiki, for the presentation:

Sports & Entertainment could learn Native American games, build game boards, teach them to others and play others.

Landforms could build a scale 3D topography map of the state, showing elevation.

Buildings could build replicas of longhouses, Dutch buildings, and so on, from cardboard.

Government (if we make this change official) could dress up as statesmen and act out, memorizing short speeches, maybe...

Conservation could write brochures for major state parks.

Any thoughts?

Latest idea: use past DBQs as source material for study and research. Government does last year's Stuyvesant, for example. What do you think?

Great ideas. The government group could act out a debate or create a display board?

Since map skills are so important, I'd like each group to do some kind of map:
Sports and Entertainment can map NY sports teams. Buildings could do a landmark map. Government could show how NY is divided into counties. Conservation could show NY and Federal parks.

I also have a DBQ lesson. Each student should have to add a primary source document and write about it for the wiki.

Haha. You must have posted your comment while I was posting mine!
